Biography
Producer, Director, and Game eLearning evangelist Chris Kennedy is a native of Cleveland, Ohio, and a graduate of Kent State University where he holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Animation and an Associate Degree in Computer Design and Engineering Technology.
Joining MadWerkz Studios as 3D Modeler 2012, Chris quickly saw his duties expand into the Gaming, Film and virtual cinematic arena as he worked as Producer on several films and games, coordinating MadWerkz work with Marvel, Warner Bros., EASports and Ubisoft. His Brazilian focused film, Capoeira: Live the Game has been selected for numerous Official Selections and screened at over thirty-seven film festivals in twelve countries worldwide. 2015 saw his Producer efforts rewarded with a Best Feature award for #50Fathers at the Greater Cleveland Urban Film Festival.
That year also saw Chris take the helm of several documentaries directing Fresh Moves (GCUFF) which shined a light on one non-profits efforts to increase knowledge of healthy nutrition in the inner city and Dance with Me (San Francisco Black Film Festival, ICE Film Festival). He has gone to direct several more documentaries including co-directing Sankofa and Sankofa: Solving X, which garnered Best Doc awards in 2018.
Chris also works closely with the Investigative News Production Company, ABStyle based in Virginia, whose films highlighting the FBI’s attempt to curb the counterfeiting tobacco trade and its ties to terrorism have seen wide acclaim.
In 2018, Chris also produced the highly regarded international scripted Television Show, CaribbeanGirlNYC in collaboration with Overeasy Gwada Films, several eSports Channels on Twitch Pro, along with developing a social media, Documentary Game Platform focused on educating at-risk youth on under reported aspects of their history while teaching code building skills and Game Theory.
A member of Facebook’s Creator Platform, eSports, Adobe’s Media Advisory Counsel and Amazon’s Sumerian VR Preview Class, Chris has also become a subject matter expert and guest lecturer on Live Streaming Broadcast, Virtual and Augmented Reality and Virtual Filmmaking.
