MadWerkz designs cover art for blues, rock debut album, One Fin Missin

Music artist, Kevz had a very unique vision for his debut album cover. He wanted it to be as creative and passionate as the music that would travel with it. So when he selected MadWerkz Studios to produce the highly detailed artwork for his cover, we were ready.

MadWerkz would produce five unique 48 inch CD spreads that would connect together as one liner. The artwork would be based on Kevz own unique concept.

The project consisted of both 2D and 3D images that were prepared and rendered using Autodesk Maya by Chris Kennedy, project lead. Once the final renders were approved, the assets were then handed off to be included in the final design.

To meet the client’s expectations, award winning content creator Joddy Eric Matthews was brought in to design and layout the artwork once the final renders were completed. Using Adobe Photoshop, the five panel liner was constructed and later exported to Adobe InDesign where the back face of the Liner was added. Here, the credits and song lyrics were laid out to match what the client was looking for.

The final result was an impressive double sided, 5 panel CD Liner that included everything from a volcano erupting skittles to a pizza floating down a river.
